The event saw the re-entry of the fan-favorite broadcaster, Kirk Herbstreit. However, he was not alone. Herbstreit also introduced his dog, Ben, as the wildcard. In a mission to charm the Georgia cheerleaders, Ben took the spotlight, making use of its undeniable canine charisma.

The clash between the Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels had already kept the GameDay crew preoccupied with the intricacies of the tussle. However, it was Ben, the golden retriever, who stole all the limelight, receiving affectionate attention from the Georgia cheerleaders. This endearing encounter became viral overnight.

The girls were seen petting and caressing Ben as it enjoyed it tremendously while wagging its tail. Mesmerized by his pet’s friendliness, Kirk Herbstreit posted the video on his official Twitter account with the caption, While I’m on air with @CollegeGameDay looks like Ben is making friends.” This showcased the undeniable joy a dog can bring, even in the midst of an intense football game.

Following the warm meetup session with the cheerleaders, Herbstreit now looks forward to Ben’s introduction to Uga, the live mascot of the Georgian team. The interaction between the cheerleaders and the dog set the internet abuzz with the unexpected cameo. 

The “ladies man” is in  the house

The Twitter video was posted on November 11 and has more than 1.5 million views and 10K likes at the time of writing this piece. The comments section of the video witnessed the heartwarming reaction of fans as the cheerleaders made friends with the tailed guest.

Another fan highlights how the four-legged has caught all the limelight during the college football game, “He’s the star of the show!” There’s no doubt as otherwise, garnering such a huge attention amidst a blockbuster game is not so easy.

The strong presence of the retriever among the Georgia cheerleaders has captivated the attention of the fans, claiming the dog to be a “Ladies man!”

The adoration that the dog has received is showcased through the comment, “Big Ben can even make UGA jealous on his own campus!” Well, we will have to wait for this competition.
