VIDEO: High Speed Rally Car Flips Multiple Times and Crashes Into a Tree Nearly Taking Out a Spectator on Phone

Rally racing often leaves motorsports fans on the edge of exhilaration and heart-stopping peril. A video has recently gone viral over the internet as a rally car, which is a beast of speed and precision suddenly succumbed to the treachery of a sharp turn.

Captured on a mobile phone by one of the spectators, the heart-stopping clip shows the car flipping violently before colliding with a tree. Hence the video showcases the catastrophes that are often associated with rally racing, even though it is a different form of motorsports not involving directly running against another competitor.    

Catastrophe unfolds catching the attention of motorsports fans 

The video of the accident has been posted from the official account of Kévin Boher on Instagram with the caption “OH WOW!”. Motorsports fans had gathered to witness the rally racing amidst the woods and as they stood behind the cautionary line, they witnessed a disastrous mishap as the rally car approached a treacherous turn at breakneck velocity.

Even though motorsports fans have full faith in the racers’ expertise that enables them to drive past the most precarious turns, however, in this case, it seemed to be an exception. At the turn, the racing car careened off course, initiated a series of flips, and landed in front of the motorsports fan who was capturing the video sending debris flying.

As it spun out of control, it collided with a tree and broke down in a whirlwind of metal and dust. Known for its off-road challenges and thrilling maneuvers, rally racing has been long grappling with safety concerns. In an attempt to ensure the protection of racers, they have mandated helmets, harnesses, and roll cages. However, while pushing the limits out of control and navigating varying terrains at astonishing speeds the safety gears fail to help the racers persist. 

The accident had a deep impact on the motorsports community as they shared views

The video has left motorsports fans in shock since they have always witnessed overturns on MotoGP tracks but not in the woods. Looking into the video carefully, a fan came up with the reason behind the tragic collapse of the racing car stating, “The speed was ok, but the corner was too tight”. There prevails a series of technicalities that are important for the racers to ensure safe drive through crucial turns that have been highlighted in the comment, “Just a brake tap in the entry of the turn, and you would have been positioned for the apex and not the exit of the turn”.

The dangerous racing feat in the woods earned the racer the title of “New racer in the town” Even though motor-racing is not a cakewalk, the video makes it easier for the fans to realize where the racer went wrong as one of the fans comments, “Pretty sure that’s not what you’re supposed to do”. As everyone talked about the technicalities of the racing feat, some even expressed their concerns about the condition of the racers, “Damn, hope the guys are well”. Even though the condition of the racer inside the car remains unknown, the catastrophic crash reverberated across the social media platform prompting a mix of shock and concern.
