The racing action of MotoGP shifted to Indonesia after a riveting weekend during the Japanese Grand Prix. The race for the title has reached new levels of intensity after Spaniard Jorge Martin won the sprint race yesterday. It put him at the top of the championship tally and the race for the title just got a whole lot more interesting.
For some riders, however, the sprint race did not exactly turn out to be a great one. Leader of the race during practice, Alex Espargaro and Brad Binder crashed into each other in just the second lap of the sprint. But perhaps the deadliest blow came for Honda’s Marc Marquez, who crashed out in the opening lap itself. MotoGP uploaded a video of the crash that saw him exit the race even before he could gain any form of momentum!

The crash happened in the opening lap at turn 11, when the maestro fell prey to gravity and lost control of his bike in the third gear. Even the greatness of Marc couldn’t stop the crash from happening. It was quite the anti-climactic end to his race and the rider will certainly was disappointed by the display.
It meant that his Saturday sprint race ended right there, and he added 0 points to his tally. This was certainly not the way he expected his sprint to end.

Fans of MotoGP were quick to react to the crash and had much to say about it. Some shared the sympathies while others had a different point of view. Let’s take a look at the top reactions!
