The video showed a 14-year-old student arguing and shouting at Marston, as he tried to speak and reason with him. He was later arrested and escorted out of the school after multiple people alleged that he harmed the boy and was solely responsible for the chaos.

Martin was suspended from the school and charged with a misdemeanor count of corporal injury for pounding the boy with multiple punches to his face. Riley was released from jail with a $50,000 bail and he immediately retired as a music teacher after that.

The video and his story got a lot of attention and details of the incidents then slowly started to emerge. It turns out, the student was flagged for not wearing the school uniform and Marston enquired about the same, which the student did not like.

What followed after was a violent outburst on the part of the student, who threw a basketball at him and even used racial slurs towards the 69 year old.
