“One Lion Amongst Lost Little Lambs”: Resurfaced Video of Brave Street Journalist’s Unexpected MMA-Style Showdown With Mob Amuses Internet Afresh

The job of a journalist is one that demands courage and determination. In today’s world especially, the profession of journalism has become perhaps one of the most important. They are the face and voice of the people who demand truth and answers for the betterment of society.

However, being a journalist in today’s atmosphere also means that one has to deal with a lot of violence. While there is one section that appreciates and lauds their efforts, there are some who are against them. The unfortunate cost of demanding answers is violence. This video clip, shot almost two years ago, showed the interaction of a street journalist with a mob and depicted how dangerous things can get. It was an MMA-like showdown between the lone journalist and the angry mob.

Journalist and mob square up MMA style in the streets

Uploaded on X by the page ‘Fight Haven,’ the video showed a street journalist, Charles Brandon Recor, walking up to a masked mob with a microphone in his hand. They did not take this line of questioning positively, and a member of the mob asked him to back away.

He did not comply and argued with them, stating it was his right to express and ask a few questions. The tension in the air was slowly building up as more mob members got involved in the war of words. Charles stood his ground and eventually got into an argument with the entire mob, eventually.

A member of the mob pushed him back, and another made the first strike. That was all the license that Charles needed to start his MMA-like punches barrage. He did not hold back and looked absolutely ready for a showdown.

One mob member holding a flag tried to hit him with it, and he punched him straight in the face, just like in an MMA fight. A female member of the mob tried to intervene in order to control the situation but to no avail.
