Our ‘Internet Karate Kid,’ as aptly labeled by the video uploader, begins by showering the MMA instructor with his self-proclaimed wisdom on kicking techniques. You’d think this would earn him some admiration points, right? Wrong. The coach isn’t exactly thrilled. In fact, he gets annoyed.
Seeing the brewing tension, the coach proposes a light sparring session, giving the kid a chance to flaunt his techniques. But guess what? The kid hesitates. He dances around the situation, trying to dodge the opportunity. Oh, the irony! And if that’s not enough, he throws out the accusation that the coach is being disrespectful towards him. Talk about audacity.
Hold on, it doesn’t stop there. The coach’s patience wears thin, and who can blame him? He challenges the kid to back up his words with action. He says, “Gloves on, kid – let’s see if you’re really up for the game.” Seconds later, chaos erupts. The situation escalates into a brawl, a clash of hubris versus experience.
Instructor’s open-palm strikes connect, leaving the ‘Internet Karate Kid’ tasting reality in the form of his own medicine. Down to the ground, they go, with the instructor asserting dominance. The instructor rain downs merciless blows on the kid, teaching him a valuable lesson with each strike. The kid manages to rise and tries to retaliate but the instructor punches him even more brutally. Finally the kid surrenders.

Deserves it. Credit to this instructor for not REALLY hurting him.
And it’s clear he could have.

Other users trolled the kid for just talking about the kick and not doing anything.
All that talk about kicking the front leg and yada yada kinda went out the window eh? 🤣🤣

Another user suggested that the kid should have stopped at “I’m going to kick your…” and backed off.
He said “…because I’m really going to kick your…” and stopped. Reconsidering finishing that sentence was smart. He should have stuck with that and backed off instead of bumping heads.

Nevertheless, in a world where online bravado can often take center stage, this video is another reminder for us. There’s a thin line between confidence and cockiness, and stepping into an MMA arena without the skills to back it up is like playing with fire. We hope the kid would have learned his lessons and will apply them in the future.
