A passionate Phillies enthusiast faced an unexpected obstacle. He and his emotional support animal, an unconventional one known as Wally Gator, were denied access to a Philadelphia-Pittsburgh matchup.
Wally is no ordinary alligator, he travels all around Philadelphia. This happens along with his travel partner and his master. He has been a popular entity throughout social media. A recent incident shows that Wally went to the Phillies game to support the team. He ends up standing outside only.

Wally Gator is far from the typical emotional support companion; he belongs to Joie Henney, who resides in Jonestown, Pennsylvania. This unique reptilian companion has garnered a notable presence on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
Are you kidding me. A #Phillies fan tried to come into game tonight with what they said was a “service animal.” An Alligator! Yes an Alligator. Thing’s I’ve never seen. This is it. @SportsRadioWIP pic.twitter.com/H7A0FM0IYC

While WallyGator offers immense comfort to Henney and plays a crucial role in his battle against depression, the Phillies maintain a stringent policy regarding support animals, as outlined on their official website. According to their guidelines, “Guide dogs, service animals, or service animals in training are welcome. All other animals are prohibited.”
Henney shared with The Philadelphia Inquirer last year that WallyGator, despite his imposing appearance, provides him with a sense of solace and even enjoys giving hugs. It’s worth noting that the alligator has a clean record when it comes to biting incidents, making him an exceptional yet cherished source of support for his owner.
A lot of reactions came in after the denial of the entry of alligator.

This is the instant reaction from most of the audience as it was really surprising to see gators at a baseball game.
Isn’t that Wally? There was a special about him on fox Philly I think, might have been a different channel. The owner’s name is Joie Henney. He takes him all around Philly.

This comment points at the popularity of the Wally Gator all around Philly.
Hes Only a Little Guy not a Big One. I love the Little Gator.

This comment somewhere questions the harm that was reasoned for the entry denial. However, any predating animal can turn dangerous irrespective of their size.

Henney, the owner, admits that Wally Gator has helped him in his lowest point where he was dealing with a very dark phase. At no point does he feel of him as a predator but always as his pet and his buddy.
