However, Sylvia underwent a crucial surgery last summer, overcoming a procedure that eventually grew to be a turning point in her life. Battling through the diagnosis, Miller overcame the complex kidney transplant at the renowned Mayo Clinic, which caused her countless physical challenges. During a prime-time football game at the US Bank Stadium, the persistent teenager won her chance to cheerleading glory. 

Sylvia received the full cheerleader experience, complete with professional hair and makeup, her own cubby in the locker room, and even the team headshots. On that unforgettable night, Miller was not just a spectator, embracing her integral role in the cheering action. Additionally, making it look as if fate itself had conspired, star player Harrison Smith was seen greeting her, leaving the teen performer flabbergasted. She also stood on the sidelines for her epic ‘Showtime’ moment while gaining the honor to lead the very first ‘SKOL’ chant of the game.
