‘My Cause My Cleats’ initiative has been one of the age-old custom in the NFL. It requires players to sport footwear of their choice to garner interest in the charitable contributions and causes of significant value to them. Much like every year, this year too, the initiative will be on during the Sunday game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. According to reports, the Chiefs’ players will be wearing customized footwear. However, their cheerleading team would also be a part of the initiative, as they will be carrying colored rally towels with them.

Usually, the cheerleaders’ go-to color is red, but this Sunday, each of them will be sporting different shades to pay tribute to different aspects of charity. These include loss, joy, understanding, pain, and above all, hope. Several cheerleaders have reflected on incidents from their lives that had inspired them to support the cause.
