Unfortunately, a greater emotion will now cloud their minds as one of their friends is no more! Lizbeth Medina, an esteemed member of the school’s cheerleading team was found brutally murdered on Tuesday. Such an unexpected turn of events has left friends and family alike shell-shocked. They cannot yet fathom what happened and are still processing everything.
As the team now looks to win the game even more for Lizbeth, they will also be donning purple and blue to honor the deceased. Cheerleaders and local residents lined up on Main Street to pay their respects as they bid adieu to their friend in tears.
Mysterious death leads to cheerleading heartbreak

Jacqueline Medina, the mother of Lizbeth, was devastated. She stated that the entire proceeding felt like a nightmare, and the thought of losing her child was making her sick. Jacqueline also remembered how badly her daughter wanted to attend the game and cheer for her team. According to the statement made by Jacqueline, Lizbeth was found deceased inside a bathtub on Tuesday at their Cottonwood Apartments residence.
Soon, an investigation followed and initial reports clearly indicated foul play. The official report from the department of Edna police was that it was a case of capital murder. However, the exact cause of Lizbeth’s death is still unknown. While speaking about the harrowing incident, Lizbeth’s mother stated that she was lost for words.
She further stated, “I just know a mother should never go through what I went through and how I seen my baby.” Jacqueline, while speaking about her daughter and how much she was excited about the match, broke into tears while reminiscing.

Jacqueline sobbingly remembered how her child was everyone’s favorite with her vibrant attitude. She further stated that Lizbeth was full of fun and frolic and also had a great heart. Her family and friends lovingly called her ‘Lizo’ as she focused recently on high school football.
Lizbeth’s mother further stated that she badly wanted the murderer to get caught. She stated that she won’t rest until justice is served. The Edna police, on the other hand, are going all in on the investigation. They have asked the Texas Rangers to assist them on the case and crack the mystery soon.
