Weeks After ‘Freak Accident’ Claimed Life of 29-Year-Old Hockey Player, Another Player Arrested for Allegedly Causing It

When Adam Johnson suffered a life-ending injury on the ice hockey pitch, the entire community was stunned. The Nottingham Panthers player slit his throat during the game against Sheffield Steelers on October 28. Although it initially looked like an unfortunate accident, recent investigations have revealed otherwise. 

It was Matt Petgrave’s skate that resulted in the fatal injury. However, what was more interesting was that when the South Yorkshire police dug deep, they had a shocking finding. 

Adam Johnson’s death, not an accident? 

After the postmortem report hinted towards an accidental death, ice hockey experts made an interesting discovery. They stated that the Steelers’ player’s skates were positioned unnaturally. This claim was further confirmed by many former players, who found it weird for a player’s skate to be positioned the way it was. 

The South Yorkshire Police stated that they have arrested an individual for Johnson’s demise. Although the police department did not reveal the man’s name, many suspect the man to be Matt Petgrave. This was interesting as Petgrave recently got a standing ovation during one of the Steelers’ games. According to the Twitter post, Daily Express reported that a man is arrested in England for alleged charges of manslaughter in relation to Adam Johnson’s death a few days back.
