Bob Tsang from Hong Kong has etched his name into the history books forever. As soon as he successfully ascended the summit of Vinson Massif, he became the youngest climber from Hong Kong to scale the seven summits across all the continents. Tsang’s father, John Tsang Chi-sing conveyed via a social media post this joyous news. Along with Bob, his father, too, got his name in the history books on Monday.

Bob and John became the first father-son duo from Hong Kong to achieve this incredible feat. John made it to the seven summits back in 2012. While Bob is no stranger to hiking, his last adventure was filled with thrills and excitement. As he conquered the peak in style, let us take a look at his embellished career so far.

Bob Tsang made his debut in hiking at the tender age of thirteen. He climbed atop Mt. Kilimanjaro, which stands at a daunting 5895 m above sea level. Gradually, Bob became more accustomed to the art of climbing. He climbed Puncak Jaya in Oceania, Mount Elbrus in Europe, Mount Denali in North America, Mount Aconcagua in South America, and Mount Everest in Asia.

According to his father’s social media post, when the clock struck 5:25 pm on Saturday, it signaled an end to the arduous journey of Bob. The experience at Vinson Massif was not at all pleasant. Bob had to take an airplane to the Union Glacier, which lasted a tiring 30 hours. What followed next was a grinding ascent from the base camp to the low camp. The grind continued as they marched towards the high camp and ultimately to the summit on Saturday.

However, Bob Tsang is not the only one with hiking genes in his family. His father, too, has one of the most remarkable achievements in the realm of mountaineering.
