The love for the outdoors has been instilled within the residents of Talbott, 8-year-old Landon Stewart, and his 10-year-old sister Elizabeth Stewart at a very early age. When Landon was only 18 months old and his sister 3 years old they had been exposed to the enthralling world of nature. Jennifer Stoneking-Stewart, the mother of the toddlers said in an interview with 10 News, “I had asked them one day, ‘Do you guys want to be doing this with me? Do you want to join me in this?’ And their answer was ‘Yeah, sure.”
On every hike, they started discovering the new wonders of nature starting with finding different kinds of mushrooms. Gradually they picked up their passion for hiking while testing their limits taking up the challenge of the 900 Miler Club.
Amidst 800 other dedicated hikers who have conquered every trail in the Great Smoky Mountains, Jennifer and her kids enthusiastically participated to set foot on the adventure of a lifetime.
