Offering crucial aid during the mountain’s tumultuous hiking circumstances, the local officials shared details from the incident. Reportedly, one of the hikers was spotted suffering burns to her arm, urging medical help for the unfortunate 22-year-old woman. 

After her admission to the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital, the tragic hiking ordeal came to a derailed climax, gladly posing no casualties. Significantly, the storm’s massive escalation left many bystanders stunned with its suddenness, followed by Blue Mountain’s mayor, Mark Greenhill, expressing his concerns. 

Commending the quick-thinking response of his staff and extending his sympathies for the affected hiking team, Greenhill highlighted the need for increased vigilance.
