Malaysian Climber Defies Gravity Carrying Gas Tank Up Mount Kinabalu for High-Altitude Deliveries

A Malaysian climber had just taken the art of mountain climbing to a whole new feat. The fearless hiker is not just an adventure enthusiast. With clips and videos of his adventurous hiking sagas, the thrill-seeker is also an internet sensation.

Recently he took his fans on another adventurous journey with him through social media as he climbed the highest mountain peak of Malaysia. But this particular trek has truly left fans amazed. He was caught on camera gracefully scaling the majestic steep slopes. But he was not alone. He embarked on this journey with the most unconventional companion but it was not just for adventure’s sake. TikTok maverick dazzles with unlikely mountain climbing sidekick

In his TikTok account, @jvy_aolm01, he recently posted several videos of himself hiking Mount Kinabalu, the world’s third-highest island peak. But amid all the videos one particular video created quite a buzz on social media where he had a companion accompanying him on the trek. He had a full gas tank attached to his back.

In 35-second video footage shared by the climber himself on his TikTok account, he was spotted doing some free hand exercises and stretches as he was all buckled up to conquer the 4,095 ft. Mt. Kinabalu. As he did a few quick leg stretches he was soon spotted with a full gas tank tied on his back before he embarked on the journey.

Now you must be thinking why did the man decide to tackle such a dangerous and rigorous climb with a heavy gas tank? He too faced the question from his fans. In an interview conducted by World of Buzz, he revealed that he has been supporting and working with Laban Rata Guesthouse, which is at present situated 3,272 meters above sea level in the heart of Kinabalu. In order to deliver necessary items and goods to the lodge for their customers he was carrying the gas tank and other items.

In the video, it could also be spotted that alongside the gas tank, other cargo were also tied on his back. However, it seemed as if he completed the journey as effortlessly and efficiently as possible. Neither did he flinch nor did he show any feeling of discontent or exhaustion during the trek. 

He further stated that not only he but also many of his colleagues take up the same challenge and make daily trips to deliver required goods. Besides gas tanks, the team has also supplied cement and tables to the lodge. “It doesn’t take a long time to climb that distance, but it does take strength and craft”, added the daring climber.
