Hiking Community Left Stunned After Mom Carries Her Two 21-Months Old Children on an Adventure

In the world of parenting, a mother’s adventure only revolves around sleepless nights and diaper changes. However, meet Emily Roberts who stands as a beacon of adventure as she rewrites rules in motherhood taking her twin toddlers, Forest and Willem Browning on epic escapades through hiking.

Since the kids were of the age of three weeks, their journey to become the world’s tiniest trailblazers has started. The 30-year-old mother has left the hiking community and fellow adventurers stunned with her fearless approach as she explored across countries with her tiny tots.  

Milestones amidst nature, tiny hiker duo embraces outdoor escapades

The NHS supporter, Emily along with her partner, Phil began their hiking journey initiating by scaling Snowdon when she was 30 weeks pregnant. Since the birth of the twins in January 2022, she has ensured that the 21-month-old kids have experienced more hiking and other adventures than many adults.

While experiencing a whirlwind of exploration, the Browning twin’s journey has been marked by wonderful milestones. Once when they were set on a Balkan adventure, the first word they uttered was ‘outside’.

Recalling the touching memory, Emily shared her experience with Wales Online, “They don’t say many words but I thought what was nice was ‘outside’ was one of their first words. They’d stand by the door and say ‘outside’. They’re so happy outside, they even wave to me now like ‘bye mum, I’m off’.”

The word has set the tone for their future as they experienced all their first while enjoying the outdoors including enjoying their first swim when they were six months old and learning to crawl on a ferry.

Hiker parents instill the spirit of hiking adventure within the twins

Since both Emily and her partner shared a deep passion for travel and hiking adventures, they decided to quit their job and set foot on conquering 40 countries within a year. Therefore they wanted to incorporate their lifestyle into their children’s right from the beginning since ‘the greatest gift you can give to your children is your happiness’.

Emily’s philosophy revolves around nurturing the love that the Browning twins have for the outdoors at the same time allowing them to adapt to her way of life and beliefs. The mother has confirmed that the adventure of the family has a long way to go. The couple is planning to complete as many outdoor escapades and hikes as possible before the kids start school. They are planning to visit India, South America, and the Philippines since these countries are rich in culture that will endow Forrest and Willem with an adventurous and diverse upbringing.

Emily and Phil have set the bar high for the boundless possibilities that parenting offers. Exposing the twins to the world of hiking and other outdoor adventures from an early age will help the kids develop a deep appreciation for the outdoors drawing inspiration from their fearless parents where the horizon is the limit.
