However, amidst the charming natural background tragedy struck when a 53-year-old man died during his hiking journey. This article explores the details that led to the devastating incident along with the precariousness of these hiking endeavors.
Adventurous hike at Camel’s Hump stalled by fatal fall

The deceased man, Mark Siedel, was originally from Centerville, Maryland, and was visiting Huntingdon when the devastating incident took place. Like many other travel enthusiasts, he had set out on an adventure to scale the Camel’s Hump, famous for its high elevation packed up with scenic views from the top.

The incident occurred on an otherwise normal afternoon hike when the Vermont State police received a distress call turning the hike into a devastating incident. Based on the information reported by NBC, Seidel had gone unresponsive on the Burrows Trail on his way to the Camel’s Hump.
The authorities quickly transported to the spot to find out that he was accompanied by his family. The helplessness of the family made the situation more heart-wrenching even after multiple agencies reporting the scene failed to help.
Desperate attempts to revive the man

The united attempt by four organizations namely Shelburne Rescue, Waterbury Backcountry, Huntington Fire & Rescue, and Richmond Rescue had elevated the expectations regarding the revival of Siedel. However, as time passed by, the collaborative valiant effort seemed to bear no positive results as it failed to revive him.
Even after the first responders initiated life-saving measures on Siedel, he refused to show any signs of resurrection. As far as the investigation has been conducted, Vermont State Police has yet to confirm the exact cause that led to his untimely death. However, based on the statement of the authorities there are no signs of suspicious circumstances or foul play behind Siedel’s tragic demise.
In order to initiate the process of further investigation, the police transported Siedel’s body to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington. From the comprehensive autopsy reports the cause and manner of death can be traced and confirmed.
