With the rapid deployment of the Kauai Fire Department’s Air 1 helicopter, they soon planned a challenging recovery mission. Kennison Nagahisa of KPD expressed his deepest condolences for the hiking victim. In a detailed statement, the authorities shared their grievances for the lost hiking enthusiast, stating, “The Kauai Police Department would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Wu.”
