The Frostivus update for 2023 has been released and two polarizing lists have been prepared. Valve has always been critical in keeping a close eye on the player’s behavior. This is done to maintain the integrity of the game and to ensure that players are not taking unfair means to progress in the game. According to the announcement from Valve, the list will include players with Smurf accounts, players losing behavior scores after ruining games, hiring behavior score farmers, playing like jerks, etc.

The accounts of these players are in all probability, likely to be banned. However, the innovative approach that the devs have taken to inform the players about the ban has had the entire community in splits. The offenders will be receiving a gift box that will contain a “Highly toxic lump of coal”.

Also attached to the packaging would be a note, informing the gamers about the ban. The note read, Your Dota account has been permanently banned for Smurfing, or other violations of the Steam Terms of Service.” However, this is not the only time that Valve has penalized the wrongdoers.
