Kevin Constantine, a former NHL coach with a notable history, has lately found himself at the center of a controversial storm. Constantine’s coaching journey spans beyond the NHL, where he worked with the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and New Jersey Devils. The notable icon has also graced overseas presences, especially with Szekeshfehervar Alba Volan in Austria. However, his passion for the game and versatile achievements were met with an unlikely barrier.

Despite past successes, Kevin’s coaching tenure with the Western Hockey League (WHL) was abruptly halted due to his troubling words. Reportedly, the coach had shared a few comments that fell under the level of dreadfulness, causing the organization to take a stern move. The 64-year-old hockey trainer encountered a suspension from his position after the alleged misdemeanor of conduct. Just days ago, the Western Hockey League (WHL) published their official note, as they suspended Constantine indefinitely. He was evaluated for his acts, and the decision was apparently a result of the coach’s “derogatory comments of a discriminatory nature,” as cited by WHL. When interrogated about the announcement, WHL Commissioner Ron Robison emphasized the importance of respectful conduct within the league.

He added how the head coaches set examples for the players, prioritizing the responsibilities of the particular position. Clearing the picture, Roj stated, “There is zero tolerance for any comments of a derogatory nature.” Following his suspension, the Wenatchee Wild also made the decision to terminate Constantine’s coaching contract. Now, in their inaugural season in Washington state after relocating from Winnipeg, the junior hockey team is facing an uncertain future without their head coach.
