Remembering the dynamo who touched hearts

Sam Ashworth, a member of the Newton-le-Willows FC joined the club when he was just a 7-year-old boy. The recent unfortunate news of the young boy’s untimely demise has kept the sports world shattered.  

Ashworth became a part of the team and started his journey in the field of football with the U8 Dynamos. From the very first day he became a part of the team his unwavering spirit, bravery, and dignity have helped the team towards betterment. “Sam’s dignity and braveness shone through”, wrote the team in a social media post.

The team recently took to Facebook as they shared the heartbreaking news of Ashworth’s untimely demise. The team shared that Ashworth has been a part of several activities. Over the last few weeks, he has spent quality time with his teammates. He had continued to be a treasure for the team till his last breath.

Football world united in grief and memories

In the Facebook post by Newton-le-Willows, they wrote, “Newton-le-Willows FC are deeply saddened to announce the passing of U16 player Sam Ashworth… They truly supported Sam and his family through this terrible time. Memories have been made for all to last a lifetime.”

Fans and team members showered love and tribute for Ashworth in the comment section of the Facebook post.
