The euphoria of Universitario’s long-awaited victory in Peruvian Classico was met with a bizarre turn of events owing to a petty response from bitter rivals Alianza Lima. The lousy aftermath during the championship clash has left the spectators present at the stadium and beyond confused.

Universitario was celebrating the 2-0 score as well as acquiring their first winners title of the decade. As it marked a historic moment after the two-legged play-off against Alianza Lima the rivalry has been exposed. However, the LED advertising boards were shining brightly which left the football fans confused. 

One of the fans, who missed the live streaming but got updates from Twitter shared his thoughts, “Missed the game, catching up on Twitter. Sounds like VAR was as bad as our performance?” 

Another fan made a sarcastic comment on the move taken against the rival team, “Uno what? I’ll allow it”.
