Disregarding the police’s request to halt their performance, the unnamed band director refused to follow any instructions. When a sergeant threatened to involve the school, the director still stood his ground. The arresting officers attempted to apprehend the director for disorderly conduct, but he kept resisting. Following an ensuing struggle, the police deployed a taser gun at the director, bringing an electrifying end to the discord. The raging musician immediately fell to the ground and was arrested right away. 

After receiving initial medical attention at the stadium, the director was hospitalized for further evaluation. Soon, the band director found himself facing a series of charges. He was convicted of disorderly conduct, harassment, and resisting arrest. State Rep. Juandalynn Givan, the attorney representing the director, shared her genuine concerns about the incident, stating the act was an “alarming abuse of power and a clear violation of our client’s civil rights.”
