Two Teenage Girls Hospitalized After Horrific Horse Riding Accident in Queensland

Unexpected tumble followed by a show of courage

Picture a serene morning on a Deep Creek property – the sun painting the landscape with warm hues, a perfect setting for an exhilarating horse ride. The stage was set for these spirited teens to embark on an equine adventure, but fate had other plans. Their horses suddenly spooked, unseating them and leaving them on the ground.

Fortunately, workers at the property swiftly discovered one of the girls lying unconscious, setting off a chain reaction of aid. The alarm was raised, summoning the emergency crews. Everyone rushed toward them to provide the care they urgently needed.

As the medical teams arrived at the scene, the girls showed unexpected courage. They recounted the harrowing moment they fell off their horses and kept themselves conscious enough to receive medical attention in time.

The sequence of events swiftly shifted from panic to a display of solidarity, as the injured girls found themselves enveloped in a cocoon of care and compassion.

Soaring towards recovery

The Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were also on-site within moments, ready to administer aid. Further, they summoned a Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter. Together with the medics on the ground, they teamed up to ensure the best possible care for these valiant youngsters.

One of the girls then became unconscious and was quickly airlifted to the Queensland Children’s Hospital. The second teen, stable yet shaken, was transported by ambulance to Gayndah Hospital. Later news reports revealed that both girls were out of danger and safe.
