But I also blew out a disc at the base of my neck”, he added.

Elon had to undergo three surgeries to mend the damaged C5-C6 intervertebral disc. But his pain still persisted. As it got more unbearable, Musk even had to get ice compresses during crucial business meetings at Tesla or SpaceX. The Mayo Clinic listed symptoms like arm or leg pain, numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness, which Musk battled through.
