VIDEO: Cyclist Captures Majestic Wildlife Moment Share a Serene Dance with an Elk on the Mountain Trail

Wildlife is usually thought to be a dangerous aspect for humans. There have been numerous instances where people have come face to face with several wild animals. Needless to say, those encounters did not end on a happy note. However, even if there is a significant amount of danger associated with wild animals, sometimes, they provide us with a means of amusement too. Their innocent treading and mannerisms often offer the complex brains a means of leisure from the daily rat race of life. Today’s video, too, provides us with a similar experience when an elk came face to face with a cyclist. 

The cyclist had his camera on as he was recording his cycling adventure. This proved to be a boon when the elk also got captured on the camera as it slowly went to the other side of the forest. The video was uploaded by City of Lakewood, Color on Twitter, recently rebranded as X. In the thirty seconds long clip, we begin with a cyclist recording his journey on his dash cam. Initially, all we saw were the trees along the rugged terrains of what appeared to be a mountainside trail. However, things would soon take an interesting turn when the cyclist came face to face with an elk. 

The elk was quite big, with its antlers in glorious display. Just as the cyclist came to a crossroads from where he would have taken a turn, the beast appeared. The serene backdrop of the scene, with clear blue skies and a mountain behind the elk, elevated the aesthetic appeal of the frame further. Meanwhile, the elk did not seem to be bothered by the cyclist’s presence. It slowly moved around and came to a halt on the road, blocking the cyclist’s path. The cyclist, however, was patient, maintained a fair amount of distance, and waited for the elk to cross over. 

Eventually, the cyclist’s wait would come to an end as the elk made up its mind and crossed over to the other side of the road. This incident has reportedly taken place in the Green Mountains and the identity of the cyclist is revealed to be Cecy Casas. Well, according to the hilarious explanation provided in the video, the grasses on the other side were seemingly greener, which prompted the beast to cross over.
