According to the reports, the Toronto Police were alerted on Tuesday, around 9 a.m., and reached the Roncesvalles and Boustead avenues. They were informed by a witness that a cyclist attacked another person on the street, throwing random objects.
Based on this information, they elaborated on the event in the tweet. However, later on, they reconfirmed the news and rectified it. In a statement, Inspector Peter Wehby, on behalf of the Toronto Police, shared a statement briefing the incident involving the cyclist, “We believe that the male had an interaction with a second male, and at that time, there was some sort of an altercation that happened.”
Hence, the altered information about the encounter between the two cyclists left the investigation authorities to trace the consequences. They are now delving deeper into the crux of the matter to find out the circumstances that led to the potentially deliberate exchange.

Even though the 60-year-old cyclist was rushed to the hospital immediately, owing to the life-threatening condition of the injury, he failed to bear the shock and passed away shortly. Based on the information gathered, the police have launched a search operation for the suspect. The man is in his 40s, has a stature of five feet ten inches, and is slim built with brown hair.
When the incident struck, the cyclist was riding a standard black mountain bike and wearing a black jacket and pants. In the investigation process, the homicide department has extended help for a quick resolution to the ongoing investigation. However, the investigators are keeping public assistance at the top-most priority since “investigations are dynamic, and information can change as witnesses are interviewed and video surveillance is reviewed.” Certain sections of the vicinity have been cordoned off, and the public has been urged to provide any potential information to assist the investigation procedure.
