Shortly After Getting Knocked Over by a Car, British Cyclist Was Left in Another Major Shock

Cycling is risky. You are on a road where far more complicated machines are operating at much faster speeds. In the presence of these mechanical behemoths, things can quickly get out of hand, especially since things are never that much in your control on busy roads. Case in point, this British cyclist whose day took a harrowing twist than he had imagined when he woke up in the morning.

He was first knocked over by a passing car on Eleanor Street in Grimsby. The cyclist found himself on the receiving end of some injuries. Talk about having a bad day. And guess what? It wasn’t over either and not by a long shot!

A Routine Ride Turns into a Nightmare

While some good samaritans were helping him out, his cycle was stolen by some thieves! According to the latest reports, both incidents were actually separate and there are no signs of a larger conspiracy at play.

What started as a routine bike ride along Eleanor Street in Grimsby quickly turned into a nightmare for the cyclist. As the clock struck 10:10 in the morning, he found himself in a sudden collision with a passing car. The impact left him with minor injuries. Despite the minor injuries, he was unable to get back on his cycle and ride away.  The shock of the accident, however, was far from over.

As the cyclist lay injured on the ground, members of the public rushed to his aid. During this moment of vulnerability and chaos, a bold thief seized the opportunity to steal his electric mountain bike. The Humberside police described the bike as a specialized electric turbo mountain bike. The cycle has a distinctive light blue paint, and the police are actively seeking leads.

It was snatched right from under the noses of those who were trying to help. This brazen theft has left both the victim and the witnesses astonished.

The timing and audacity of the theft have raised eyebrows within the community. Many people also questioned the timing of the two incidents, discussing a possible connection between the two incidents.  However, Humberside Police have emphasized that the road traffic collision and the subsequent bike theft appear to be entirely unrelated.

They also called for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage that could shed light on the events that unfolded.
