An unfortunate event unfolded on Tuesday morning when a -17-year-old girl cyclist riding a bike lost her life. The incident is under investigation and the officials are searching for the cause of the accident. The crash resulted in the closing of the main street. According to the officials, the crash happened early in the morning. However, the local police quickly responded to the matter but couldn’t save the girl’s life.
We do not know the identity of the deceased girl yet. However, according to sources, the girl was a student at Bear River High School. The authorities are still investigating the accident, so they haven’t revealed the identity of the garbage truck driver yet. The local police are trying to find out whether the garbage truck was following the prescribed driving rules, or whether the girl was riding on the wrong side.
Second major accident within a week

The accident which happened on Tuesday is the second accident in a matter of days. In the previous accident, the Police arrested Monnie Rose Manning Miller. The 34-year-old got arrested in charge of hitting a 15-year-old riding his bike. However, the police have not arrested anyone yet in the current accident.. The investigator of the case is Tremonton Police Chief Dustin Cordova. Cordova is yet to share concrete information about the accident. Details of the crash are yet to be provided.

The roadway where the accident happened has numerous street lights. Cordova feels the driver would have found it difficult to spot the 17-year-old girl cyclist. However, whether the driver is co-operating with the investigation is still unknown. “We won’t be able to disclose information about the driver until the investigation is complete,” Dustin Cordova wrote in a statement to 2News.

There is a massive increase in the number of road accidents. In recent times, there have been 336 crashes in Utah Itself. The crashes include both the bike crashes and car crashes. It injured 315 people in these 336 crashes. More than the injuries, it’s the deaths that are alarming. Two teenagers in a matter of days have lost their lives. A 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy have died because of a car accident. The families of the teenagers who died are facing an indescribable loss. However, this accident should ensure there are good traffic rules in place. The safety of the riders and especially children should be of top priority.
