 Transgender controversy is catching up the limelight every single day. Female athletes don’t seem to appreciate the fact that they have to compete against a biologically male person which is unfair as the latter are physiologically stronger. In a new reformative turn of events, a transgender athlete has won a cycling competition against female competitors for a cause.

There have been various protests happening within teams against the transgender policy.

Transgender wins the race just to prove a point

There is a case in Korea where a transgender athlete participated in a cycling competition on the grounds of bringing about a change in the transgender policies. The policy allows them to compete with women and he won that race. It was shocking when he announced that he just did it to prove the point that biological males really have an edge over female athletes and it is somehow unfair to let them compete against the gender.

The cyclist who won is Na Hwa-Rin. After winning the race, he mentioned, “I have no unresolved feelings over winning because that’s no longer what I want. My goal was to stir controversy and get my story heard by competing.” Recently another controversy happened when a young female athlete was relegated from a team due to a transgender incident.

YMCA ejects a 16-year-old swimmer

Recently a woman swimming athlete, Abbigail Wheeler, was scrapped off her team. She and one of her friends put up a sign board that said, “Biological women only” on the door of their locker room.

A YMCA official denied the allegations by the player. However, The young athlete didn’t change her statement at any point in interviews. In her official statement, she mentioned, “I went to my coach and gladly told him that I was a part of this, and he said that it was probably not the best option for me to swim with the swim team that night and that the YMCA staff would follow up with my family.”

This is just a mention of a few incidents that are taking place. There are many athletes who are resisting this judgment of the court. There is a general concern about the biological advantage of a biological man over a biological woman. This is the exact point, the Korean athlete made recently. However, it would be interesting to see if any positive comes out of this act. It will also be noticeable if it can make the officials reconsider their judgements.
