Allegedly, the young girl was cycling too close to the couple’s dog, and an argument erupted where the couple rebuked the cyclist.
Followed by the tense environment created due to the difference of opinion, the dog reportedly ended up biting the woman on her leg. Considering the strain, the bite had left her leg with visible marks of bruises.
Since it was a sparsely populated park, there were not many witnesses present at the moment. Hence, it has been difficult for the police authorities to pursue their investigation without any substantial evidence against the owner of the dog.
As reported by Daily Echo, Craig Evans, the police community support investigator working for the Bournemouth police stated, “I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in contact with Dorset Police as we are keen to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”
Due to the lack of witness testimony, it’s as of yet unclear exactly how the dog got free to attack the young girl.

As an aftermath, the police had launched an appeal to trace the man and to bring together bits of information to track the ways in which the entire incident transpired. Craig Evans in his statement stated to Daily Mail, “We are now issuing an image of a man that we are keen to speak to.”
The image issued by the police shows an elderly man in a red coat and light-colored trousers with long white hair posing next to a Bulldog-type dog.
