Kenny enlightens the readers about the incident that spiked his enthusiasm to participate in this adventurous feat with Manx Radio, “ BITA Isle of Man supported Hero’s on the Water, Rock to Recovery and Manx Legion at our lunch a couple of years ago, it was this which prompted me to take on this challenge to support and highlight veterans who, for whatever reason, need the help which Launchpad provides.”
The journey spanned over 13 days and cyclists rode at an average speed covering an impressive distance of 70 miles a day. The picturesque landscapes of Cornwall along with the sun-drenched paths of Gibraltar tested the physical and mental strength of the cyclists.

Getting exposed to monsoon in Cornwall and the soaring 36-degree temperature in Spain, it tried to impede their triumph.
However, defying all odds, they emerged successful in raising £6,500, which serves as a reminder of their victory after a tumultuous journey. The journey has covered a total distance of 880 miles, equivalent to conquering the height of Mount Everest or ascent to 17 Snaefall’s within 13 days.
