Remarkably, Fort Collins was not an isolated city that gained this financial aid for cycling benefits. With strategies for making it a top-tier destination among riders, the fruitful investment was calculated under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. This allocation was part of the Safe Streets and Roads for All program organized by the Department of Transportation. While aiming not only to enhance safety but also to fortify the city’s reputation, this donation of $964,480 echoed similar hopes as those of other awardees.
While being designed explicitly to bolster safety measures for local cyclists, Mayor Jeni Arndt was seen expressing candid excitement about this massive grant. Emphasizing its pivotal role in launching supplemental planning and developmental efforts for cycling escapades, the subsequent discussions saw vivid opinions.
With the grant’s utilization being planned, it was used to encompass a comprehensive study spanning 27 miles of arterial roadways. This investigation might unearth innovative solutions to ensure maximal safety and comfort for every passing cyclist.
Additionally, terms were made for corridor safety audits, detailed analysis, and active stakeholder engagements to reshape the area’s cycling routes. Renowned for its cycling-friendly landscape, Fort Collins is all set to revolutionize urban commutes, but it is not an isolated region in this epic movement.

As the city started working on creating a comprehensive safety action plan, locals and cycling regulars anticipated an efficient conclusion within the next one to two years.
