Fatal Crash in Livermore Results in Cyclist’s Untimely Demise Due to Mechanical Mishap

Life is too unpredictable and today’s story is a harsh reminder of the same. When the 58-year-old man from Livermore embarked on his solo cycling journey this Tuesday, little was he aware of the gruesome fate that awaited him. As per reports, a fatal accident took place between Laguna Street and Encino Drive. Police Department of Livermore informed that the casualty was reported at around 3 pm and they quickly rushed to the spot. As the paramedical team tried their best to revive the man, all their efforts failed. 

An official investigation has been launched by the police department. As the investigation continues, let us now get a detailed view of what exactly transpired with the unfortunate man. 

Police reveal the deceased had taken all precautions

As per the initial reports coming from the police, the man succumbed to his death from a possible mechanical issue with his bicycle. Azenith Smith, a spokesperson from the department stated that upon scrutinizing the CCTV footage, a gruesome truth has come to the forefront. It showed that the man got ejected over the handlebars while suffering from a technical fault in his bicycle.

However, while speaking further on the topic, the department also ruled out the possibility of foul play and overspeeding. The spokesperson said, “Appeared to have a mechanical issue with his bicycle causing him to be ejected over the handlebars… There was no vehicle involved and it does not appear speed was a factor.”  

The police department further informed that the cyclist was wearing a helmet and was severely injured when the police came. A fellow citizen witnessed the dire strait the man was in and initiated CPR until the medical team arrived. Unfortunately, all the efforts went in vain as the cyclist passed away on the spot. 

However, this was not the only incident of a cyclist losing his life on the streets in recent times.

Cyclist loses life after running into a car

A few weeks earlier, a similar incident of gruesome proportions took place near the UCO Street in Edmond, Oklahoma. A 38-year-old cyclist was reportedly hit by a car, eventually leading him to his demise. As per the reports, the man was speeding his way through the streets near the University of Central Oklahoma when he failed to spot an oncoming car.

Unable to control his speed, the man thudded into the vehicle, fatally injuring himself. While the medical team rushed to the spot at the earliest, they failed to revive the man.. However, investigations revealed that the car was not at fault and had no role to play in the accident.
