Additionally, the trip also included localities around Italy while meeting its conclusion in Greece. Despite their extensive cycling experience, Europe’s steep hills posed visible challenges for both cyclists, who still kept going no matter what.

While Charlie and Wendy had been a part of another jaw-dropping tour from six years ago, unlike those well-graded Canadian highways, the latest trip seemed more daunting. As it demanded exceptional physical endurance. Wendy emphasized the unique hurdles presented by Europe’s vivid cycling landscape.

Navigating through these diverse cycling terrains, the couple encountered not only picturesque visuals but also relentless battles to keep riding. Struggling along the steep hills that required meticulous preparation, the duo cycled the renowned ‘Road to Nepal’ route near Calgary.

Nerve-wracking trip reaches golden climax

While ensuring they were physically equipped for the rigorous journey, the cycling duo trained extensively by adding 40 pounds of weight to the bike, especially Charlie. Simulating the load they would have to carry during the elaborate cycling tour, the young-hearted couple raised eyebrows as they returned victorious from the challenge.
