Devastating Dirt Bike Crash Left 14-Year-Old from Iowa Critically Injured in Hospital

The people of Iowa County were hit with the shocking news of a dirt bike accident in their community. According to the Iowa County Sheriff report, a 14-year-old teenage boy was critically injured after being involved in a motorbike crash.

The news certainly raised questions on the safety and feasibility of teenage children engaging in such activities, where there is grave risk and danger involved.

14-year-old fatally injured

Details further revealed that the accident occurred on a private property in the town of Dodgeville. Emergency medical services received a call at around 6pm about a teenager with fatal injuries from a motorbike crash.

Investigations revealed that the boy was riding the bike alone at the time of the crash and was later found by family members.

He was flown to the hospital by a MedFlight helicopter and remains in critical condition.

Iowa state amidst a deadly period

Accidents of late are occurring in high numbers in the state of Iowa. Especially the ones with bikers or cyclists involved. Just last month, a 44-year-old motorcycle rider was knocked by a tire in a bizarre accident. The collision left him with critical injuries and he later passed away in the hospital.

In another tragic accident, this time from the Benton County in Iowa, a 83-year old cyclist met with a horrifying accident. The crash took place at the intersection of Highway 218. 83-year-old John Rice was struck by a car at the Oxford Junction.

The driver of the car was another old man, aged 77-years old. He was pronounced dead by the medical authorities on ground.

There certainly are grave concerns for the safety of riders on the roads, more so in the state of Iowa. Authorities and citizens must come together to develop and construct a solution that safeguards the well-being of all people involved on the roads, not only motor vehicles.

Cyclists will hope that they are provided with better facilities and conditions in order to make most of their time and experience on the roads.
