Huntington Beach witnessed a bizarre accident on Sunday Night. The beach police are looking for a driver who may have hit three different cyclists. All three accidents took place within one hour. The driver of all three accidents is the same.
The first accident happened around 10 p.m. According to the locals, a black Toyota Sedan swept across the two different cyclists. However, no serious damage happened to anyone, but it was a close call. All the three accidents happened over a one-mile stretch of road.

After the first attack around 10 p.m., the next incident happened around 10.30 p.m. It swept another group of riders across the street. The driver looked the same this time as well. However, the police did not look sure about the claims made by the riders. They are trying to figure out the reason for such behaviour of the driver. The last accident happened around 10.45 pm in Springdale and Heil. However, this time around, the black sedan drive hit a rider and ran away.
They have identified all the victims as males. One rider died while the other two have had minor injuries. While speaking to La times 64-year-old Mario Obejas said- The news was “devastating but not surprising”
“There are drivers who carry a lot of anger when they’re out, and they’re looking to take it out on someone,” he said. “Unfortunately, we’re often the target.”

Obejas is the vice- president of the Beach Cities cycling club. He also had to face the same incident a few years back, where a truck driver tried to crash into their group. However, after that incident, most of the cycling groups have started wearing portable cameras. Cameras help them to record every such incidents and provide them with safety.

“The camera is really important because it’s not a he-said-she-said thing,” Obejas said. “It’s a matter of having footage you can hand over to police as evidence.”
The Driver Has Not Been Caught Yet
The police have still not caught the driver. However, they are taking help of the local residents and looking into CCTV’s. Moreover, the residents informed the police about hearing a loud noise when the accident happened.

The police have sealed the Northwest Corner of Carr Park. Although they have recovered the dead body of the cyclist , the driver is not caught yet . Hopefully, they will catch him soon and take the necessary actions.
