Chatham’s Unexpected Intersection Tale Leaves the Cyclist With Grave Injuries

The cyclist, whose name is yet to be confirmed, was heading westbound on McFarlane Avenue when he found himself in a perilous situation as he clashed with a vehicle that was traveling south on Melrose Drive. The car at first entered the intersection, however out of a sudden without any signal initiated a left turn that resulted in the tragic collision.

As reported by CK News Today, the police had informed about the emergency crew immediately rushing to the spot following “numerous 911 calls”. The time of the incident has been reported to be just before 9:30 a.m.

The Good Samaritans tried their best to bring the cyclist out of the clasp of the front wheels. While their rescue efforts were underway, the driver drove forward “further trapping and injuring the cyclist”. The sudden move made by the vehicle driver made the situation even more complex. 

As a result of this irresponsible action, aggravated the cyclist’s injuries that required immediate medical action. Emphasizing the life-threatening nature of the wounds, he was swiftly transported to a hospital in London. After learning about the gravity of the incident, the Chatham Kent Police took up the investigation working to bring the pieces together to have an idea of the sequence of events that led to the tragic collision.
