While shuttering one of its two warehouses and letting go of 10 staff members in the fall of 2022, Rice attributed the loss to a significant disruption in the entire supply chain. “Definitely a very challenging year for us”, he conveyed, emphasizing the odds that came throughout the year. However, despite these setbacks, the cycling business professional was cautiously optimistic about the chain’s future.
Noting a nearly 10% rise in sales over the peak summer period, he mentioned gaining a promising 25% increase in this year’s Black Friday transactions when compared to the 2022 numbers. With his key competitors in London facing similar losses, the latest account also marked its impacts on Sigma Sports and Evans Cycles’ supply models.
