Sports can bring people together. Whether united in support or opposition, sports are very effective in imbibing a sense of comradery in a group of strangers rather smoothly. In light of this fact, people undoubtedly get into scuffs with one another over differing sporting opinions. However, sometimes, quite the opposite. People can come together and participate to contribute to a noble cause. This is what will happen in the 3rd annual California Coast Classic Bike Tour, wherein two hundred cyclists will ride across 525 miles to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation.

Nearly 60 million Americans suffer from arthritis. Going by previous events, about 40% of the California Coast Classic riders either suffer from arthritis or are riding for a loved one with the disease.
