As Christmas is around the corner, the streets had been already lit up and decorated, and the grandeur of Westminster Abbey was enhanced with the presence of the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton. She had spread a heartwarming spectacle of joy and goodwill and enchanted everyone with her Christmas high-fives.

This gesture has been to celebrate the remarkable efforts of the children whose charitable moves went ‘above and beyond’. Amidst the young philanthropists, it was a seven-year-old mountain climber, Oscar Burrow who stole the show because of his extraordinary contributions to society.

Known for her compassion and warmth, Princess Kate Middleton engaged with the children, appreciating them for their charitable efforts that are unlikely for their age. Among the other participants was Burrow, a Lancashire native, who has dedicated himself to the charity.

The efforts of the pint-sized fundraiser turned mountain climber did not go unnoticed and earned him a ‘Points of Light’ award from Rishi Sunak. As reported by Lancaster Guardian, Burrow completed a daring feat by climbing 12 mountains in the UK to the height of Mount Everest.

However, the goal of the young climber was not for personal accomplishment, as he had set his sights on something greater. The amount the climber raised from completing the challenge, which was £40,000, went on to help a Chorley-based children’s hospice, Derian House, that takes care of 400 babies, children, and young people every year.
