It is often said that celebration has no language and a handful of people are proving it right! To spread love and cheer amongst others, we don’t need to speak or converse. It is our actions that speak out loud and transcend the barriers of caste, region, religion, and of course, language. Well, at first glance, you would think that these are just some abstract lines plucked right out of a philosophy novel. But hold on! The reality of the action will truly leave you mesmerized and also teach a valuable lesson.
In a recent video that circulated on the internet, we can see a group of young girls dancing away to glory. However, these young girls aren’t the ones you see doing this every day. So yes, it is rather exceptional and needless to say, a testament to the most humane trait of all- endurance.

The video opens directly with the visuals of a group of cheerleaders performing. This might seem like a normal cheerleading event at first, but the story is not so simple at all. The cheerleaders that we see are specially-abled. From the video posted by People’s Daily Online, it can be seen that the group of girls have hearing impairments and can only communicate non-verbally. Now, this makes everything so much more complicated, so much more difficult.
As the video advances, the girls are seen performing like a well-oiled machine. This event took place as a part of the 4th Asian Para Games’ wheelchair basketball competition. The cheerleaders, wearing a white striped shirt and orange skirt marvelled the audience to their fullest. The extraordinary performers were also seen donning a pair of white sneakers with white socks. The entire act was conducted by a conductor, who also deserves a word of praise.
Choreography is a difficult task to follow, especially when you cannot use all 6 senses evolution has bestowed upon human beings. However, looking at the well-orchestrated performance of these young girls, we unlearn and learn some new things. This is just another chapter in an undying series of testaments from specially-abled people, that prove they can they can be anything they want.
