The heart of the controversy lies in the transaction amounting to $2,600 through Cash App when the cheerleading coach rerouted the amount to her family members instead of handing it to the school’s bookkeeper. It was the JV cheerleading coach of Pine Forest’s cheerleading team who donated the fund through the app.
Based on the reports of Wear News, during the investigation process, it has been found that on June 15, $2,600 was credited to Brooks-Hill’s account. However, on June 18 the coach made 10 different payments to her family members, totalling which amounts to $2,582.
In her defense, Brooks-Hill informed the deputies that since her phone screen was broken, she was unable to access the app. During the investigation process, the school district reported a total loss of $7,000 and also raised concerns about an additional $4,500 that was raised by the cheerleading camp in June.

Legal ramifications concerning the missing fund
As per the information gathered, $4500 was donated by the Escambia County School District to help the school bookkeeper. The cheerleading coach further got involved in the intricate web of missing funds, although in this case, the varsity cheer coach who had donated the money failed to provide any proof showing the verification of the transaction.
As a result of the lack of evidence and documentation, Brooks-Hill delayed her conviction process, misguiding the investigation officials with misguiding statements. However, with the progression of scrutinization, the cheerleading coach got entangled in the controversy. Taking all these incidents as stepping stones, unraveling the labyrinth that Brook-Hills had created. The cheerleading coach was arrested and sent to the Escambia County jail on November 27, Monday.
