In a spirited display of community support and school pride, the school made its way to victory, winning the 2023 Johny’s Pizza House Cheerleading Challenge.
The football season is the talk of the town; the cheerleaders have secured the headline through their extraordinary victory. It was the KNOE executive who traversed through Northeast Louisiana to find out the best cheerleading team who adorned their local Johny’s Pizza House.
Cheerleaders come to the spotlight with a winning formula

The cheerleading squads in the Oak Grove community took a break from their sideline routines every Friday and caught the spotlight setting the stage for the evening’s football festivities. As reported by WLOX, LaShanda McQuinn adopted the new responsibility of a weekly ritual of capturing the creativity of each team.
The cheerleaders channeled their enthusiasm and passion in decorating their designated Johnny’s Pizza House. In this way, in an attempt to set up the spirit of the football clash, they took their cheerleading prowess while fostering the school spirit and played an integral role.
A few days back, in the month of September, the Rayville Hornets joined the Cheerleader’s challenge and made a lasting impression on the audience performing at the cafeteria. Through this challenge, the squad demonstrated their unity and togetherness. Similarly, in this case, the Oak Grove cheerleading team adorned the pizzerias with their vibrant team spirit.
Sweet celebration of pizza party
Beginning on November 17, the community engagement kicked into high gear when the locals got involved in action. They were given the responsibility to cast their votes for the favorite cheerleading team that took part in the challenge of adorning their favorite pizzeria. Since stringent competition prevailed, each vote was of crucial significance.

Overcoming competition, each team succeeded in garnering immense support from their respective communities. The cheerleading team to acquire the maximum votes, was given an opportunity to enjoy a pizza party with the very famous face of KNOE, Aaron Dietrich. This offer further added an extra layer of excitement to the stakes.
Rallying for votes, it was the Oak Grove High School’s cheerleading squad who demonstrated the winning formula. Clenching an impressive tally of 1,569 votes, they grabbed the Johnny’s Pizza House Cheerleader Challenge champion title of this year.
