Lady Packers’ Cheerleaders Rises to the Top of the Cheer Pyramid Rewriting Records

Armed with pompoms and cheer so exuberant, the Colquitt County High School Lady Packer competitive cheerleading squad made their way creating a record-breaking triumph. They soared to new heights by securing the highest scores recorded by the team in history. But it wasn’t easy. No, there’s no Disney villain they had to fight to reach their goals. 

But because cheerleading is tough and extremely competitive. The unwavering determination needed to pull off what this team did is nothing short of magical. And not just that, while they celebrate their extraordinary triumph, they are also fixated on giving their best for the regional showcase as a stepping stone into the state championships.  

Cheerleading squad’s unblemished performance

The regular season of the Worth County Last Chance Cheer Competition culminated with a nail-biting finish. After a close tussle, the Lady Packers secured the top spot for themselves. Accumulating a notable subtotal of 91.5 points, they ensured that their hard work and determination paid off.

However, in the way they faced certain challenges but put their skills to use they succeeded in maintaining a score of 87.5 followed by the deduction of only four points. In an interview with The Moultrie Observer, Carissa McKinney, the head coach shared her views, “ I am so proud of the girls. The girls didn’t have the best warmup, but they knew they needed to pull it together in front of the judges, and they did.”

Having a jittery start during the warmup session, the Lady Packers squad at the end rallied together to deliver a flawless performance in front of the judges that left a deep mark in the hearts of the spectators.

Setting focus on regional showcase

The moment when the results were declared was marked with a wave of electrifying jubilation that swept through the cheerleading team, their coaches along with their fans who have been through the thick and thin of their cheerleading journey. It is the relentless pursuit of the Lady Packers cheerleading squad that enabled them to seize the historic high score.

McKinsey expressed her disbelief about their performance by saying, “ I’m excited that even with a few mishaps they still brought this score. I’m hoping this gives them the confidence they need to go into the region showcase.” With the upcoming regional showcase set to take place on November 4, Saturday at South Forsyth, the team has a plethora of opportunities lying in front of them to showcase their athletic prowess and grab the regional title. The record-breaking accomplishment under their belts propels the cheerleaders to continue their legacy. 

The Colquitt County High School Lady Packer competitive cheerleading squad is all set to give their best and seize the coveted spot in the state championships. The future looks promising for the squad owing to their dedication and resilience demonstrating the power of teamwork and unwavering spirit.
