November 23 is a day for celebration for all Americans. It is on this day that people go out or spend some quality time with their family. For the Atkinson family, too, it was no different. The house had a jovial atmosphere, with the smell of delicious Thanksgiving breakfast threatening to stimulate the hunger hormones prematurely. Amidst this festive atmosphere, Maxine, a 3-year-old toddler, decided to go out on an adventure. Alone!

The moment it was realized that the baby was missing, the family went into a frenzy and started searching for her. However, the entire scenario took a morose turn as Maxine’s uncle was gutted to break the news of having found her floating face down in the pool. This is where today’s hero, fifteen-year-old Madison Atkinson, emerged. She wasted no time and swiftly took the baby out of the water and started doing compressions. After some time, Madison performed CPR, which she had learned during one of her lessons in school.

This worked like magic as the baby slowly opened her eyes and, much to the joy of the family, started breathing on her own. The latest updates stated that Maxine has fully recovered and is out of danger. Such a miracle made the family extremely thankful and proud of Madison.
