Transitioning from the sidelines to the negotiation tables tells an interesting tale and a former member of the Blue Babble Battalion (BBB) has called it a shot. Arc Aldrin Tolentino has scripted a unique success story.
From cheering on the Ateneo sports team, Tolentino has changed his career path to follow his passion by obtaining a sports agent license in the US. In his professional career, his transition into the competitive world of sports agency surely stands out.
Arc Aldrin Tolentinos’ cheerleading journey takes a detour

Donning the Blue Babble colors from 2004 to 2008, he has been a spirited member of the cheerleading battalion. Aiming to pursue his academic pursuits, Tolentino acquired a legal education at Ateneo. Following his aspiration he attended the University of Southern California (USC) where along with acquiring an honors degree, he obtained a license allowing him to practice law within the country. It was during his university days that he was exposed to the world of viral sports scene.
In one of his interviews with Philstar Global, Tolentino stated, “I had an eye for sports law. I had always loved watching and playing different sports since I was a young boy. And it wasn’t just one sport — I was interested in a lot of sports, including the National Football League or even golf.”
Driven by a passion for sports encouraged to set his sights on stepping foot in the competitive landscape of the sports agency business. Hence, his trajectory revolves around different roles that expound his adaptability.
The power of connection and perseverance
Handing top-tier athletes in the presence of established agencies and influential agents comes with a lot of challenges. However, Arc Aldrin Tolentino refused to get deterred by these challenges since he had a stable academic background having attended sports management courses that in turn helped him to build connections within the industry.

Since the sports and entertainment industry is very competitive in Los Angeles, abounding in successful sports franchises networking is the key. To reach out to potential athletes, Tolentino started Ballers and Suits, his own sports podcast in which the famous American media personality, Colin Cowherd made his appearance.
Since cutthroat competition exists in the world of sports agencies, he focused on persisting in the face of challenges. Tolentino further gave advice about facing rejection, “Another crucial lesson is to be affected by rejection. You just continue; keep going on because when you land your clients, the hardship will all be worth it.” In this way, he underscores the significance of building genuine connections while overcoming rejection.
