Homecoming events are one of the most looked-after events for school seniors. It marks the end of their schooling life but the beginning of a new chapter. However, one Biloxi Cheerleader, Bailey Edwards, will remember this night forever. The cheerleader with special needs received the Homecoming Queen award.

Bailey Edwards is a cheerleader with special needs. She was the center of attraction for the night as she won the most awaited award. All her friends and family members cheered her on and enjoyed the whole moment. A night worth remembering for Edwards.

Receiving the Homecoming Queen award is a matter of respect. Everyone during the homecoming event eagerly waits for this title. Edwards looked happy after receiving this award. However, she was lucky because she had her childhood friend with her. Abra Taylor Jr. has been the senior cheerleader’s best friend since the third grade. Both the friends walked with their parents and headed toward their designated spot.

wxxv25, shared some experiences of the friends.

Abra Taylor Jr. said – “The queen, Bailee Edwards, we’ve been knowing each other since the 3rd grade. A long-time man. She did her thing man I’ll tell you that much. She did her thing.”

Bailey, on the other hand, looked completely surprised after she heard her name. She said-  “Like I was freaking out, I didn’t know they was going to say my name at all. I heard it and thank you; I couldn’t be any happier. I thought I never was going to get it but it turns out I did, and it’s the best day of my life.”

She also thanked her friends and family members for their continuous support. All her friends cheered her on and made the night even more memorable. As her school life ends, Bailey has a lot of memories to look up to. Hopefully, she can enjoy the next chapter of her life.

A Word of Advice for the Juniors

Now that homecoming has come and gone, Bailey and her friend shared their experiences and grew from them. They addressed the juniors and gave them some life lessons. The basic gist is to always enjoy your school life. Not everyone gets the opportunity to have a proper school life. However, it’s important to make use of it. This is the time to make memories and enjoy friendships.
