Transitioning seamlessly from football to basketball, the Raiders cheerleaders are gearing up for an exciting year. Coach Wells shared, “We are super excited. A lot of the girls are really looking forward to the competition season. They love basketball, so they’re excited for that as well.”

The WCTV cast, appreciating the early morning commitment, awarded Coach Wells with the Morning Pep Rally ball, setting the tone for the day. The Raiders Cheer Team then took the stage with a performance that left the WCTV cast raving. Their chant, “It takes a Raider,” resonated through the studio and proved to be a perfect way to kickstart the Friday morning.

Speaking about their preparations, the cheer captain emphasized, “This is our rivalry. We’ve prepared for the game. We want to beat them.” The determination in her voice was palpable as she outlined the team’s commitment to victory.

It Takes a Raider

The co-captain, reflecting on her senior season, shared her emotions, saying, “It’s definitely a lot of emotions. This is my last year. So, I wanna make sure every game I give it all I got. Do it like my last season, you know?” Her sentiment captured the essence of senior-year dedication.

The Raiders Cheer Team then returned to the spotlight for another electrifying performance, bringing their A-game to the studio once again.

Morning Pep Rally had originally planned to visit Rickards High a few weeks ago, but Hurricane Idalia had other plans.
