Veterinary Surgeon Mariana Redpath to Face Her Biggest Fear with $10,000 Bungee Jump Fundraiser for Child’s School

A Worthing mother is ready to take up a new challenge for her son’s future. She is taking up the challenge of helping raise funds for her child’s school. This daredevil action is going to be attempted by Veterinary Surgeon Mariana Redpath. Mariana has a fear of heights, but she is still confident enough to pull this off. Despite her fear of heights, she’s very confident she can accomplish this. She wants to raise a fund of around £8,000 for Chesswood Junior School. Mariana wants to use the raised funds to provide essential amenities for the students of the school.

Mariana’s son goes to the same school. The school is at the heart of the community but lacks funds. However, the school is very passionate and works hard towards improvement of the children. Most of the children in the school are not from a rich background and Mariana feels it’s her responsibility to raise funds and make their lives easy.

Trying to create a difference in the lives of the children

The focus of the whole challenge is around creating a change. Mariana Redpath believes if there are enough funds, lives of many children will change. The school runs on community funds. Although there is a lack of funds, the school wants to provide the students with all the facilities. When covid struck, a lot of families in the community suffered. Because of which the quality of the facilities has gone down. The children are also suffering mentally from this.

Mariana has acrophobia, which is a fear of heights. However, she will bungee jump from Brighton Marina on September, 3rd. Mariana Says-, “I am trying to make sure these disadvantaged children get positive experiences. I am really trying to make a positive difference.   I can’t remember feeling so passionate about something for a long, long time.” 

Mariana is teaching us a very important lesson

Whether Mariana Redpath will gather donations or not is a matter of time. However, she is teaching us a very important lesson. It takes courage to get out of your comfort zone and attempt a challenge. Mariana has taken up this challenge so that she can change lives of the children. Not many people have the courage to do this. As a society, we should try to do our bit in order to bring a change. Hopefully Mariana can raise $8000 from this challenge and can change lives of the students.
